Accounting Chamber Sends Materials on Expenditure in Barda Housing and Utilities Department to "Relevant Authorities"
At the last Board meeting of the Accounting Chamber of Azerbaijan, dated October 6, reports were heard on inspections in the parliament and of JSC Gardening and Landscaping of Azerbaijan for targeted use of budgetary funds.
According to the main social control entity, they also completed the audit of the cost of housing and communal services of executive power of the Barda region. The mean information that the materials will be directed to the appropriate authorities proves the existence of numerous deficiencies and financial irregularities.
The Accounting Chamber of Azerbaijan, accountable to the parliament, operates from December 7, 2001 as the authority controlling the flow of budgetary funds of Azerbaijan.
The executives (members of the Bar, which consists of the chairman, his deputy and seven auditors) are elected every 7 years.
This entity is usually limited to generalities about the board meeting, without giving specific numbers or data. According to Article 6.0.3 of the Law of Azerbaijan Republic "On receipt of information" ("Basic principles of information"), the disclosure of information on budget revenues and expenditures is the responsibility of government institutions, including the Court of Auditors. --17D-
