Advanced Internet providers did not strengthen the position of Azerbaijan in the world

Last week, there was no review of Internet opportunities in Azerbaijan, and for good reason. The speed of incoming traffic dropped to 3.37 Mbit / s with the lowest (126th place in the world along with Zimbabwe and Iraq).

Now the situation is corrected. At the end of last week, Azerbaijan became the 118th (not good, but tolerable). Two weeks ago, it has happened, but with 3.56 Mbit / s, this week, the rate of "straightened" to 3.55 Mbit / s.

Nearest neighbors in the table are Ghana (line above) and the South African Republic (line below).

As the official portal of the company Ookla (http://www.netindex.com/download/2,110/Azerbaijan) reported, at the neighbors the situation is better - in Russia (25th position) the average is 17.62, Georgia - 14, 07 (39th place), Armenia (50th position) - 11.66 Mb / s with a twofold improvement of quality.

Local Internet quality index is far from the site described by 54 positions.

Among the capital providers identified in the monitoring, there is a new player with unique capabilities - CityNet c 21.92 Mbit / s.

Because the site is updated, it is fixed to the center of the capital inbound traffic 3.65 Mbit / s. On the periphery of Baku the speed is 2.78 Mbit / s, in Masazir - 3.06 in Sumgayit - 2.60 Mb / s. Areas of the new site is not, although I have been Jalilabad, Sheki, and Goychay.

Chosen for the experiment were 310,398 of nearly 2.47 million active unique IP-addresses. The study is based on the statistics of 20 local Internet service providers and telecom operators, mainly in Baku.

Over the week in the first place was AzerTelecom - 15,36 Mb / s. with a significant increase in velocity. On the following "bonus" places were marked Az.StarNet LLC and Eurosel LLC, which, respectively, showed 5.29 and 4.69 Mbit / s. Company TransEuroCom LLC with 2.07 Mbit / s closes the top twenty.

Mobile operator Azercell Telecom LLC has long led in the list, now it is the fifth one with the index 4.69 Mbit / s. Azerfon LLC has 3.40 Mbit /s and Bakcell Ltd LLC has 2.02 Mbit /s.

Note that almost as many providers were not included in the rankings because they have a lower rate, just not for the interest of the drafters of top sheet.

The rating for the outgoing traffic (the best - 1.35 Mb / s and No 122 in the world) are also presented statistics 20 local Internet service providers and telecom operators.
