Almost 2% of Employees in the ICT Sector
BAKU/10.09.13/TURAN : 1.8 % of the market wage labor sector accounts for communication, information and communication technologies.
According to the State Statistics Committee, by August 1, the total number of employees in Azerbaijan amounted to 1 million 490.8 thousand people. Most of them ( 894.6 million) is involved in the public sector , 596.2 thousand - in the private sector.
On spheres breakdown is as follows : education - 22.8 %, trade and transport services - 18.8 %, industry - 12.2% , health and social services - 8.8% , construction - 7 %, transport and warehousing - 4 , 9% , professional , scientific and technical activities - 3.7% , agriculture , forestry and fishing - 2.9 %, other sectors of the economy - 17.1%.
According to official statistics , as of 1 August, the average salary of employees in Azerbaijan totaled AZN 412.7 (+6.9 % compared with the previous year ) .
Higher than the average salary received by representatives of the bureaucracy , mining , finance and insurance , private sector, ICT , science and engineering, construction and services. - 17D-
