Almost 3 Million People Have Individual Accounts of Social Insurance

Individual accounts for mandatory social insurance by 1 December were available at 2,941,308 people (+ 9,3% against the beginning of the year).

As stated in the press release of the State Social Protection Fund (SSPF), from January to December there were opened 249,951 accounts. Most owners (59.06%) of individual accounts are men.

According to the State Social Protection Fund, the largest number of account holders - working citizens under the age of 30 years (24.2% of all social insurance payers). Individual accounts are also open to social insurance payers - 23.9% aged 30-40 years, 21.5% - aged 40-50 years, 20.4% - at the age of 50-60 years, 10% - over the age of 60 years .

Reform of the pension system in the country carried out from January 1, 2006, when the working-age population has been translated into individual account social security. That is, every payer of contributions for compulsory social insurance has an individual account, which accumulates contributions paid by them for the purpose of long-term pension calculation.

By law, the pension is formed from three sources - the base, insurance and funded part. The first two are the third has not yet applied due to the lack of development of private enterprise. --17D-
