Announcement of Baku Banking Conference
14-15 November the VII International Baku Conference of Banks - Participants of the CIS will be held, the information on the site of the Finance and Banking Council of the Commonwealth reads.
Organizers of the event are the Financial and Banking Council of the CIS and the International Bank of Azerbaijan. The program is addressing issues of strategic cooperation between the CIS countries, the development of the financial and banking systems of the CIS, problems and prospects of the restructuring of the national financial markets, as well as issues of development of Islamic finance in the CIS countries, exchange and lease structures.
Also planned is the discussion of the interaction of the financial markets of the CIS in terms of world political turbulence, the use of the world and the establishment of national payment systems in the Commonwealth countries, the role of national regulators to optimize the number and quality development of the financial markets, as well as new approaches to sources of capital and recapitalize the banking sector, including exchange products.
The conference will be attended by representatives of governments and ministries of states - participants of the CIS, international development institutions, as well as heads of national (central) and the largest banks, businesses Commonwealth states, Europe and Asia. --17D-

Data on Azerbaijan's oil exports for January-October 2024 reveals a significant drop in both volume and value compared to the same period last year, highlighting the challenges facing the oil-dependent economy. The country exported 495,484.05 tons of oil products worth $309.02 million, a decrease of 40.3% in value and 40.7% in volume compared to 2023, when exports totaled 925,225.07 tons worth $572.21 million.
