Azerbaijan has not mastered fishing quotas
Baku/05.02.14/Turan : In 2013, the Azerbaijani companies and individuals that have a license, caught 793.8 tons of fish. It is 116.8 tonnes more than in 2012. However, the total quota has not been provided mastered.
According to the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources , the total amount of fishing quotas in the Caspian and in inland waters (Jeyranbatan and Shamkir reservoir , Lake Sarysu ) was 1 166.8 tons. Were caught sprats - 206 tons ( in 2012 - 372 tonnes) of herring - 150 tons (126), mullet -125 tons ( 125 ) , Kutum - 117 tons ( 80) , roach - 72 tons (62), bream - 59 (64 ) t. Total 101 permits were granted to the subject , which had paid for it in the state budget of 16,4 thousand manats.
According to the State Statistics Committee, in 2012 in Azerbaijan were caught 57,667 tons of fish, of which 56.3 thousand tons accounted for by individuals. It is illegal fishing , and this amount has been identified on the basis of studies of household consumption and the volume of imports . However, experts do not agree with these figures and consider them to be too high.
The consumption of fish and other seafood species in Azerbaijan is much less than other types of meat. This can also be seen in terms of supply in the market and the number of fish shops. - 0 -
