Azerbaijan Reduced Export of Beef Stew
In the first nine months of this year Azerbaijan exported 859.6 tons of canned beef stew, which is 453.7 tons less than in the same period of 2014, according to the State Customs Committee.
Export of canned meat brought $ 3 million 843.2 thousand. However, compared to last year the revenues decreased by $ 4 million. This year, the export is carried out to Iraq (810.6 tons), Georgia (45.7 tons) and Iran (2 tons).
The only producer of canned meat in Azerbaijan is LLC Qafqaz Konserv Zavodu (part of the group of companies Azersun Holding) in the Khachmaz district.
A kilogram of stew this year is exported at an average of $ 4.47, or $ 1.34 less than last year.
According to the State Statistics Committee, in 2014 the production of canned meat in the Khachmaz region was 1,479 tons, which is 8.7% less than in the previous year. In 2005, the production volume of the company exceeded 3,600 tons.
Stewed beef is bought mainly in Russia (152.5 tons), Ukraine (134.6 tons) and Germany (23.4 tons). According to the State Committee for Standardization, Metrology and Patent, the importer of beef stew OVA (Russia) and Orsha (Belarus) is the trading company Veyseloglu.
Canned beef of Russian production is declared on the Azerbaijani customs at an average price of $ 0.79 / kg, the Ukrainian production - $ 4.4 / kg, and the German production - $ 5.2 / kg.
According to the SSC, in January canned beef locally produced was offered at a price of 5.73 AZN / kg, while imported canned beef – at AZN 5.97 / kg. In October, these figures increased to 5.95 and 6.34 respectively. -----08B

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
