Azerbaijani Railways Working on International Railway Line Nakhchivan-Mashhad
During the meeting in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic between the Chairman of CJSC Azerbaijani Railways Javid Gurbanov and the member of the Board of the Iranian Railways Abbas Hajfathalih the range of issues on expansion of bilateral cooperation was discussed.
The main topic of their discussion was the commissioning of the railway line Nakhchivan-Julfa-Tabriz-Tehran-Mashhad. To implement this plan, the sides agreed to hold a joint investigation of the point to replace wheels on the station Julfa this month. Also there will be unification of the system of sales of passenger tickets by the two railway departments.
The next meeting of the parties will be held in April. "Already this year we can expect the movement of passenger trains on this route," the Azerbaijani Railways press secretary Nadir Azmammadov said. According to him, each railway company will carry passengers on its territory.
It should be noted that during the talks they also discussed the use of freight wagons of Azerbaijani Railways in Iran and funding the construction of the railway Rasht-Astara (Iran). ------08B`

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
