In the sector of public relations of the State Committee for Securities they told Turan that the conference invited more than 100 experts from 15 countries. The main topic of scientific and practical discussions will be government regulation of capital markets in developing countries and the tendency to adapt the professional market changes in the regulatory framework.
The conference is organized jointly by Capital Markets Modernization Project (main donor - the World Bank) and the Federation of Euro-Asian Stock Exchanges (FEAS).
Formation of the stock market institutions in Azerbaijan began in 2000 with the establishment of the stock exchange. However, despite the presence of over 10 brokers, depositories and other capital market infrastructure institutions, securities have not yet become a tool of investment. Baku Stock Exchange does not provide listing, quotes and index of corporate securities. There are no investment funds either. - 08D-
