Bitumen plant put into operation in Aktau
The project “Manufacture of road bitumen at the Aktau plant of plastic mass” (Aktau bitumen plant) implemented by a group of KazMunaiGas companies was put into operation on December 20, 2013 within the framework of the Day of Industrialization and National Television Bridge with participation of President Nursultan Nazarbayev.
The governor (akim) of Mangistau district Aydarbayev, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Chinese People’s Republic to Kazakhstan Le Yuichen, representatives of the Kazakhstan Ministry of Oil and Gas and KazMunaiGas company, administration of CITICGroup companies, CaspiBitum JV and other companies-partners took part at the event.
“Today is a very important moment not only for the residents and workers of the Mangistau district, but also for the entire country. Our plant will be able to fully satisfy the country’s need in road bitumen. This is a joint project of KazMunaiGas national company and Chinese CITIC Group,” said chairman of Board of Kazakhstan Petrochemical Industries joint stock company Dauletkerey Yergaliyev.
“I think that opening of the Aktau bitumen plant is a bright example of mutually beneficial and friendly relationships between Kazakhstan and China,” Sun Yan, General Director CITIC Kazakhstan, said.
The plant will manufacture about 400,000 tons of oxidized and 120,000 tons of modified road bitumen and 15,000 tons of gasoline faction, 230,000 tons of kerosene and diesel fraction and 220,000 tons vacuum gasoil, reported http://oilnews.kz.--0--
