BP expects new growth of gas production on Shah-Deniz phase 1
Till the end of this year BP company and its partners try to increase gas production from the gas condensate field Shah-Deniz Phase 1 up to 10.8 billion cub.m. a year, reads the BP-Azerbaijan company’s report for year 2013.
The report reads that until the end of this year it is planned to increase daily production on the Shah-Deniz Phase 1 up to approximately 1,040,000,000 cub. feet or 29.7 million cub.m.
BP company reported that at present the equipment on the production platform of the Shah-Deniz field allows extracting maximum 27.7 million cub.m. of gas a day.
BP company also reported that the technical issues of the production growth on the platform and their conditions have been already agreed with SOCAR.
In other words, by the end of this year one can expect a significant technical growth on the production platform within the Shah-Deniz Phase 1.
During 2013 BP-Azerbaijan company extracted 9.8 billion cub.m. of natural gas and 2.48 million tons (19.6 million barrels) of condensate on the Shah-Deniz field. 26.8 million cub.m. of gas and 53,074 barrels of condensate a day was produced.
In 2012 7.73 billion cub.m. of gas and 2,000,000 tons (16.1 million barrels) of condensate was extracted on the Shah-Deniz field.
