BP, Statoil and Total will share the SOCAR interest in the project TANAP
SOCAR President Rovnag Abdullayev said that the proposals were received from the partners of the project "Shah-Deniz" who would like to participate in the construction and operation of the Transanatolian gas pipeline (TANAP).
According to him, SOCAR owns in the project 80%, and 20% - Turkey
state company BOTAS.
"In summer, we said that we wanted to offer some of our share to other companies, retaining 51%. BP, Statoil and Total are willing to participate in this project," said the head of SOCAR.
He said that these companies have already submitted their proposals to the SOCAR,
which wants to distribute the shares as follows: BP and Statoil - 12%, and Total - 5%.
Abdullayev stressed that these are preliminary plans, and so far not any documents have been signed.
Earlier, the local and international media reported that BP wants take in TANAP the second position after SOCAR. The president of BP, Bob Dudley, has made several visits to Ankara and Baku, held a meeting with the leadership of both countries.
BP and Statoi l have in the project of the Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum gas pipeline 25.5% each, and apparently, they want to have the same share in TANAP.
* The intergovernmental agreement between Azerbaijan and Turkey to build a pipeline TANAP, length of 1790 km, the primary capacity of 16 billion cubic meters, to deliver more of Azerbaijani gas to the Turkish market and Europe, was signed on 26 June in Istanbul. The Parliamentary Committee of Azerbaijani parliament approved on the agreement on November 6. -0-

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN.
