Building bicycle factory completed by yearend
The construction of a plant to produce 30 thousand units of sports, children's and city bikes a year is to be completed by the end of this year.
Construction of the plant began in November last year. And last week the construction site, which occupies 5 hectares, was visited by the Vice President of the Cycling Federation of Azerbaijan, Deputy Tax Minister Sahib Alekperov, the director of one of the specialized companies in Bulgaria, Dragomir Ruzov and representative of the European Cycling Federation Roland Hofer. An agreement was reached for course qualification of youth groups in Bulgaria.
The plant is built by one of the structures of the group of companies Asset Group. According to the State Customs Committee, in 2013 Azerbaijan was supplied 17,271 bikes with a total declared value of $ 616.6 thousand.
In 2012, according to the same source, there were purchased 2.8 times more bicycles (49.4 thousand units) abroad with a total value of $ 820 thousand .In addition, in 2012, there were imported 5,814 tons of tricycles, scooters and pedal cars.
Over the past few years in Azerbaijan cycling competitions of international level have been regularly held in Azerbaijan. In the country there is only one track for cycling meeting international requirements. - 08D-

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
