Capacity of Azerbaijan TPP to Be Increased to 2,000 Megawatts
Baku/23.04.19/Turan: Within the framework of the "Rehabilitation Program" of the Azerbaijan TPP, reconstruction and restoration of turbines, generators, relay protection systems, substations, overhead lines for 500 and 330 kilovolts, and anti-accident automation are planned.
This is stated in the message of Azerenergy.
According to the report, as a result of the work, the capacity of the station will be increased by 380 megawatts to 2,000 megawatts.
Azerenergy OJSC reports that so far, in the framework of the "Rehabilitation Program", reconstruction works have been carried out in the 6th energy block, the capacity of the 7th block has been increased from 250 megawatts to 310 megawatts, and the necessary equipment has been repaired.
The "Rehabilitation Program" is designed for three years.
Recall that on the night of July 3, 2018, an accident occurred in the Azerbaijan TPP, as a result of which the power supply to 39 cities and districts of Azerbaijan was stopped. -0-
