Defined protection zones of Protected Areas
Enactment of amendments to the Law "On Specially Protected Natural Territories and Objects" , providing for the creation of sanitary protection zones of Protected Areas . This order , signed by the head of state on the eve of published today in the official media .
Innovation is governed by Article 10-1 " Sanitary protection zones of Protected Areas ." According to him, health protection zones are a special territory with a special mode of use , which are established to ensure special protection of land and water areas adjacent to protected areas and their protection from foreign anthropogenic impact.
They occupy the area, starting from the outer boundary of land and water areas of protected areas and the surrounding protected areas around the perimeter at a distance of 3 thousand meters. For protected areas and objects there is a legal regime of special protection or adjustment mode of economic activities. Legal regime of sanitary protection zones of protected areas in the territory allows activity zones containing no damage to the surrounding ecosystem, and providing for restrictions on economic use of natural resources.
Zones on the territory permitted to conduct research work, the implementation of environmental monitoring and change control ecosystem , activities to ensure fire safety and protection of forests, land use for agricultural purposes , including for the implementation of haying and grazing, the implementation of measures restoration of biological and landscape diversity and natural ecosystems, the use for the purpose of tourism and recreation, the use of mineral waters and other medical resources , amateur and sport hunting (fishing).
In these territories, prohibiting all activities having adverse effects on natural systems protected areas , including the construction of new settlements, businesses that create environmental hazards , including the placement and use of chemical , nuclear energy and metallurgical industrial facilities, geological - intelligence work , mining and processing of minerals , the use of agrochemicals and pesticides, the introduction is not tailored to the local flora and fauna species , works infringing the hydrological regime and a negative impact on soil fertility.
These amendments and additions adopted by the Milli Majlis of Azerbaijan at the plenary meeting on 4 April. -17D-
