During the first 9 months of 2014 population spent 55% of the money on food
The population of Azerbaijan acquired consumer goods for more than 15.47 billion manat (about $ 19.7 billion or + 9.4% against 1 October of the previous year) in January-September 2014.
According to the State Statistics Committee, the majority (54.75%) of money was spent on food – 8 470 000 000 manat or +3.2%. Growth of non-food items in the purse of the consumer is much more significant - 15.9%, which has resulted in 7.7 billion manat.
The population spent 4.76 billion manat on services (+ 6.4% by October 1, 2013). At the same time, 60.5% of all services, for 3.6 billion AZN, was rendered by legal entities. --17D-

Azerbaijan's financial standing continues to strengthen as the country's foreign currency reserves have surged to $71 billion as of January 1, 2025, according to the Ministry of Finance. This figure, which includes reserves held by the State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan (SOFAZ) and the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA), far exceeds the nation's external debt, which stands at a fraction of its reserves, specifically nearly 14 times less.
