Electronic database and analytical reporting system of CBA presented

Public electronic database and analytical reporting system (Data warehouse) of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) has been presented. It was commissioned nearly two months ago - June 5, and has proven reliability.

According to the CBA Vice Chairman Khagani Abdullayev, the local system of electronic statistics and analytical reporting (ESAHS) of the bank, the development of which took 2.5 years, interests the central banks of other interested countries and international organizations.

"Its development continues in order to integrate with those of other Azerbaijani authorities. The contractor creating the database is the company Sinam, with which the contract was concluded August 11, 2010. Currently in electronic format the system receives all information about the banking system (including non-bank credit organizations), and a number of public institutions," he said.

The analytical "thinking" data warehouse is unique and allows the sectors and macroeconomic modeling and forecasting, which greatly simplifies the consideration of issues that, in particular, relate to the functions of Money Committee. In addition, the system is open, has a functional hierarchy of officials and access to internal and external users. However, even external users through the portal of the Central Bank have access to high-quality economic information.

Data warehouse extends to all CBA data processed electronically. The system has a filter function due to the flexibility within a few seconds can provide information in any number and form. - 17D-
