Five food producers denied certificate Halal Food
The Azerbaijan State Standard Committee denied the certificate Halal Food for five producers of foodstuffs. However, this does not mean that they can no longer claim it.
The Press Secretary of the State Committee on Standardization, Metrology and Patents (SCSMP) Fazil Talybov told Turan that the companies Orkhan-SS, Ovchular, Gafgaz, Aurora (sausage manufacturing) and Siyazan Broiler were ordered to remove the deficiencies identified during the certification. After correcting the errors, the companies may again appeal to the State Standard.
Today SCSMP recognized food production in compliance with the standard AZS 731-2012 Halal Food at four companies (Hakan Foods FF Co. Ltd, Sehliyali, M & T Ltd and Zahmet Ruzi). The standard is based on the single standard Halal Food (OIC / SMIIC 1:2011 General Guidelines on Halal Food.
The State Standard Committee this month also approved the trademark Halal, which is used for the labeling of food products certified under the above-mentioned standard.
Talybov noted that the illegal use of this mark for commercial property by an entrepreneur from Turkey was recently revealed at Aya Sofiya in Baku. Some uncertified businesses also continue to use the term Halal on the etiquettes of sausages.
Halal is the general concept of consumption allowed under Islamic Sharia. -08B-
