From the beginning, nearly 50 people were killed in accidents
Azerbaijan as a result of accidents and man-made disasters as of April 1, killing 49 people.
According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES), which does not include the numbers of accidents (in January-March, the country has seen 646 accidents, 258 people were killed, wounded - 691).
According to the MES, in the first quarter of 2013, in the republic there were 1,505 cases of natural and man-made accidents (-10% compared to the same period last year). As a result, 26 were killed and 37 people were injured, three of them were rescued, 31 evacuated. In fires died 21 citizens, burns of varying severity were received by 23 people. Recorded were 1,439 calls of fire brigades and security services in connection with fires.
The number of explosions increased (12 or +5, compared with the previous year) in Azerbaijan. The victims of April 1 were 2 people, 12 - were wounded. - 17D-
