Growth in Agricultural Production - 6.7%
In January-November, the volume of agricultural production in Azerbaijan amounted to 5 billion 384 million manat, which is 6.7% more than last year, when it recorded 2.9% decline , the State Statistics Committee.
Due to the 10.8% growth, the share of crop production in the structure of agricultural production has increased from 48.3% to 50.9% (2.7 billion manats). Livestock production has increased since the beginning of the year by 2.5%.
According to the committee, taking into account maize (211.3 thousand tons), there was collected approximately 3 million tons of grain, 617.4 thousand tons or 25.9% more than in 2014.
Vegetable production was 1 million. 256.7 thousand tons (+ 6.3%), potatoes - 831.5 thousand tons (+ 1.5%), fruits and berries - 880.6 thousand tons (+4 2%), melons and gourds - 484.5 thousand tons (+ 9.9%), etc.
Poultry farms, unlike other areas of livestock, reduced the amount of egg production (1.4 billion) by 1.4%. The State Statistics Committee attributed this trend to the transition of some poultry farms to broiler production.
Manufacturing value added in agriculture amounted to 2.9 billion manats, which is 6.7% more than for 11 months of 2014.
In the Year of Agriculture its development was invested about 360 million manats, which is 29.6% more than in the same period last year. 08D

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
