President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, in his closing speech at the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers dedicated to the socio-economic development in the first quarter of 2013 and the upcoming challenges, noted that this year - Year of ICT in Azerbaijan starts successfully.
"Azerbaijan is a cosmic power. This is a great historical achievement. Azerspace-1 satellite is in orbit. Managing them is transferred to Azerbaijan. We manage this satellite from Baku. Has already started talks with partners to launch into orbit of the second and third satellites. This is also an innovation, modernity, development," said the head of state.
Also, the country's president said that the projects in the field of ICT, are the fight against corruption and bribery, "projects" E-Services "and" e-government "- this is a very important step in this direction.
Contact officer is a citizen in this direction should be kept to a minimum. Again we must make to apply the experience of developed countries. Therefore, the development of Azerbaijan's ICT sector and should be given more attention."
"In the last few months in this direction have been taken very significant steps. Among them I would like to note the activities of "ASAN Xidm?t". This service is expanding its activities. Already thousands of people have turned to "ASAN Xidm?t". We are expanding our activities "ASAN Xidm?t". I think that by the summer of this year, it will cover all districts of Baku. At the same time, this will cover big cities - Sumgait and Ganja. The next year, I believe, the service should be set up in all the other regions. And before that, the service will be provided through mobile buses. These buses have been purchased in the coming weeks and will be delivered to Azerbaijan. Through the service of these buses will start operating in different regions.
In short, should be institutional reforms, "E-government" transparency and, of course, a strong political will. Such a strong political will is there. If we want to become a developed country, you have to drive even more serious fight against corruption and bribery. I am confident that we will win this fight, "- said President Ilham Aliyev. - 17D-
