In 2015 about 3.2 bcm of gas from Shah Deniz handed over to SOCAR
In 2015 Azerbaijan received a total of 6,332 bcm of gas from BP-Azerbaijan company.
Of this volume over 3.1 bcm was associated gas from the oil bloc Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli (ACG) and about 3.2 bcm was natural gas from the gas condensate field Shah Deniz (a total of 9.9 bcm of gas was extracted on this field).
SOCAR reported that last year the Gas Export Department (SOCAR’s department for gas transportation via the pipelines) received 14,562 bcm of gas.
Azneft, SOCAR’s production company, transported 7.77 bcm of gas to the Department.
Another 352 mcm of gas was received from the operation companies developing fields in the country to be pumped via the pipeline.
In 2015 108 mcm of gas was imported from Azerbaijan to Russia for AzMeCo company.
Of the received volume 5,763 bcm of gas was pumped to Azerigas (SOCAR’s gas distribution company) and 4,689 bcm was handed over to Azerenerji company to generate power at thermal power stations. 1,358 mcm was exported to Georgia and 287 mcm of gas was handed over to Iran as a part of swap deliveries for the needs of Nakhchivan of Autonomous Republic (NAR), of which 267 mcm of gas was transported to NAR.
SOCAR reported that in 2015 1.76 bcm of gas was pumped to Azneft and the remaining 705 mcm of gas was distributed to other sources.—0—
