In September the Ministry of Culture and Tourism provided four licenses to businesses and individuals to carry out activities in the field of tourist accommodation.
According to the ministry, this includes 3 hotels and 2 motels in the country. The remaining three (Iron Hotel, Premier Old Gates and Sapphire Inn) are in Baku. One hotel (Vega, Ganja) belongs to a citizen of Turkey.
As of October 1, licenses for the provision of hotel services were at 339 hotels. Overall, the number of hotel establishments in the country exceeds 500. ---08D
