Median wage in Azerbaijan is 405 manats
Baku/19.04.22/Turan: In the first quarter of this year, the median wage in Azerbaijan is 405 manats ($238.2), a spokesman for the Ministry of Labor and Social Security told Turan.
Three years ago, the figure stood at 223 manats, or $131.1. This means that in 2019, the accrued hourly work was below $0.70 (24 workdays of 8 hours per day). That figure is now $1.23/hour.
Note that average monthly nominal wage data has not so far been summarized. Over the first two months the figure stood at 768.3 manats ($451.9). Thus, the median wage is equal to 53% of the average accrued wage. In other words, about half of the wage earners receive a monthly wage of about 50% of the national average monthly wage. -08B-
