MoT imposed restrictions on transportation of goods by road transport
Baku/18.03.14/Turan : Ministry of Transport , without waiting for the decision of the Cabinet , limited transportation of goods by road in the country. Maximum weight of trucks shall not exceed 44 tonnes , the ministry said .
Load in excess of the norm , as well as changes in the design of large trucks leads to decline roads. An illustrative example of this is the concrete highway Baku - Guba - State border of the Russian Federation. On this road in the direction of Baku the highway is practically destroyed. Builders argued that the guarantee is a 30-year lifespan, although the road did not stand even two years. At the same time, experts point out that the quality of construction works was low.
Thus, the Ministry of Transportation temporarily allows biaxial vehicles to carry up to 18 tons , three-axis - 30 tons (vehicles equipped with air system - 27 tons) , four-axis - 40 tons and five-axis - 44 tons of cargo.
Restrictions on transportation of goods by road transport are regulated by the Cabinet of Ministers decision of 7 July 2009 at number 104. This document permits to haul cargo over 80 tonnes with gross vehicle weight. 08D
