From May 2016 the business of Carlsberg Group in Azerbaijan, presented by Baltika-Baku, is headed by Viktor Semak. He will manage two companies of Carlsberg Group - Baltika-Baku and Carlsberg Kazakhstan.
Semak has been the President of Carlsberg Kazakhstan from March 2013.
Baltika-Baku manages the Khirdalan brewery and is the beer market leader in Azerbaijan with a share of over 75% (2015), the company’s press release noted.
Then brewery Baltika-Baku is located in Khirdalan. The company produces popular brands of beer such as Khirdalan, Tuborg, Baltika 7, Baltika 0, Baltika 9, Khirdalan Draft, Cooler, Afsana, 33 Export, and Zhigulevskoye Brand.
Baltika Breweries purchased the plant in 2008, and in May 2009 it was opened after reconstruction. The production capacity is 10 million deciliters per year, and the company employs about 250 people and about 400 people are employed indirectly (distributors, agents and contractors).
The annual contributions of Baltika-Baku to the state budget are about 20 million AZN, and the total amount of investment in the development of the plant is 47 million AZN. ----08D
