office opened in Baku FAO
On February 24 in Baku after 20 years of cooperation with Azerbaijan opened an office of partnership and coordination of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations. At the ceremony the Minister of Agriculture Heydar Asadov and FAO representative in Baku Mustafa Ymir signed the project "Support for seed sector development." The project provides assistance to the Ministry of Agriculture in the field of seed production, test grades, registration and control of seed quality, as well as their processing and marketing. It will be implemented within two years.
In total in 1995-2015, the FAO implemented 23 projects in Azerbaijan. Relevant are five national and two regional projects. 08D
