Ombudswoman appealed to the head of the State Service for Property Affairs (SSPA) on the issue of journalistic inquiry
Baku/06.04.21/Turan: On 5 April the Office of the Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) appealed to the State Service for Property Affairs in connection with non-execution of the court decision on the claim of the Turan News Agency.
The head of the Ombudsman's Office, Aydin Safikhanli, asks the acting head of the SSPA under the Ministry of Economy Metin Eynullaev to check the complaint, and if the violations of the legislation indicated in it are confirmed, take measures to eliminate them.
In September 2020, the Baku Administrative Court partially satisfied the claim of Turan news agency against the SSPA and ordered it to provide the plaintiff with information about the winner of the investment competition for the sale of shares of Baku Oil Machine Building Plant OJSC. However, the department is still evading the execution of the judgment. The request was sent to the SSPA in June 2019.
On 11 March, Turan News Agency appealed to Ombudswoman Sabina Aliyeva with a request to facilitate the execution of the court decision on providing a response to the information request. --08B--
