PASHA Life Insurance - First Insurance Company that Obtained License from Ministry of Economy and Industry
The life insurance company PASHA Life Insurance was the first specialized structure, which received a perpetual license through the Ministry of Economy and Industry. Earlier, the Ministry of Finance was engaged in the issuing of licenses.
According to the company, the permit was issued in connection with the completion of the previously issued license for a period of 5 years. The perpetual license was issued in accordance with the brought amendments to the relevant legislation.
OJSC PASHA Life Insurance with registered capital of 40.25 million manat began operations on Feb. 14, 2011. In January-November, the collection of premiums amounted to about 51 mln. manat. --- 17D-

Azerbaijan's financial standing continues to strengthen as the country's foreign currency reserves have surged to $71 billion as of January 1, 2025, according to the Ministry of Finance. This figure, which includes reserves held by the State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan (SOFAZ) and the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA), far exceeds the nation's external debt, which stands at a fraction of its reserves, specifically nearly 14 times less.
