Payment for the use of water in reservoirs to be arranged by Emergencies Ministry
The Cabinet of Ministers suspended the state company Irrigation and Water Management from the collection of fees for the use of water for drinking and industrial needs in inland reservoirs and transferred these powers to the Ministry of Emergency Situations. Decree was signed by Prime Minister Arthur Rasizadeh on October 4 this year.
The document stated that from now on Azersu will pay for water from three reservoirs (Jeyranbatan , Mingachevir and Shamkir), Irrigation and Water Management - for water from four water channels for irrigation and Azerenergy - for water from the Mingachevir reservoir for the cooling system of the Mingachevir CHP - to the State Agency for Water Reserves ( GAVZ) at the MOE.
MOE is to prepare and submit to the Cabinet of Ministers within one month the rules of paid use of water bodies in the GAVZ balance.
In addition, the Cabinet has allocated from the Emergency Reserve Fund of State Budget 2013 AZN 1.7 million to cover operating expenses of bodies subordinated to GAVZ, payment of salaries of its employees, etc.
GAVZ was established in February 2011 and all major water bodies were handed over to its balance . From where its local structures were funded has not been reported. - 08D-

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
