SOCAR is going to involve Chinese National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) as investor and a partner for construction of the new oil refinery and petrochemical complex (OGPC) in the Garadag region of Baku, SOCAR President Rovnag Abdullayev told journalists.
On June 1, 2016 SOCAR and CNPC signed the memorandum of mutual understanding on the joint operations in the oil and gas industry and petrochemical field.
“CNPC company has a great experience in field of petrochemistry and would like to take part in the OGPC construction as an investor.
