Presented electronic services on privatization and state property management
On September 12, the State Committee on Property Issues (GKVI) held a media public presentation on "Management of State Property and the organization of auctions: current approaches and e-services."
Deputy Chairman of GKVI Rustam Shakhbazov said that the agency started providing e-services since 2012. Today, the number of these services has been brought from 4 to 29 and 25 of them - online. A special portal for e-services (www.e-emdk.gov.az) has been created. All electronic services are integrated to the portal of e-government.
Applicants for the purchase of confiscated in favor of the state property privatization of small state-owned enterprises, unfinished buildings, vehicles, commercial premises, as well as the shares of privatized JSC may submit applications electronically.
Since 2014 GKVI began to receive reports from the state-owned enterprises, as well as the JSC in which the state controls the specific package in electronic form. Of more than 6,000 such entities in 2200 to report on the use and preservation of state property through an electronic portal.
Director of the Auction Center for tendering at GKVI Ali Abdullayev noted that during the auction from 51 bidders made 158 electronic applications, representing 77% of received applications.
Journalists were acquainted with the procedure of filing electronic requests.
Asked by Turan on opportunities to increase electronic services in the area of privatization, GKVI representatives noted that the list can be replenished by creating conditions for accepting applications for participation in the specialized cash auctions and auctions for the sale of land. The deputy chairman of the agency ruled out the possibility of sharing of electronic services on investment competitions, as in this case, the guarantee of confidentiality reduced.
Note that e-services in the sphere of privatization affected only time savings of its members. As before, there is no competition in the auction, and they won at the starting value of the objects becomes the only participant. --08C--

Azerbaijan’s imports of animal and vegetable fats and oils climbed 23.9% by weight and 16.2% by value from January to September 2024, official data revealed. Despite the uptick in volume, the import cost of these products saw a decrease compared to the same period last year, with the cost per ton of vegetable oil falling by 6.1% to $1,199.6 in 2024, down from $1,278.6 in 2023.
