Production of Iron Ore Increased by 73.5%
The production of iron ore concentrate in Azerbaijan in the first nine months amounted to 102.9 thousand tons. Ironically, the 73.5% increase in production volume was achieved after dismissal of Chairman of the Board of CJSC Azerbaijani Steel Production Complex in July 2015.
According to the State Statistics Committee, in the six months of this year it exported 16.5 thousand tons of iron ore totaling $ 670.5 thousand.
Since July this year, this company has no leader. Then heads of departments of the company quitted, too.
According to an informed source, this company for some time was under the control of the Deputy Minister of Economy and Industry Niyazi Safarov, who regularly visited the company’s administration.
Recall that the company was established on April 23, 2013. At the same time JSC Dashkesan Filizsaflashdyrma (Dashkesan ore-processing plant) was included in it.
The company argues that the monthly production capacity of the plant after the repair has reached 30 thousand tons.
In 2015-2018 the restructuring of Dashkesan Filizsaflashdyrma is planned and the monthly production should rise to 120 thousand tons.
The company is mandated to invest in the industrial cycle, covering all stages from the production of iron ore to the production of steel and steel products. ----08B
