Representatives of British Companies to Arrive in Baku in April
In order to enhance cooperation in the oil and gas sector, a group of representatives of British companies working in the sphere of oil and gas engineering will arrive in Baku in April. This was reported to Turan IA at the Ministry of Economy of Azerbaijan.
In October 2015 a forum of Azerbaijani-British cooperation was held in Baku, during which it was agreed to initiate the next networking event in the field of oil and gas engineering.
Coordination of the organization of the visit of British companies to Baku is arranged by the Department of Trade and Investment of the United Kingdom.
In the Soviet period a lot of enterprises acted in Baku, producing oil and gas equipment, mainly for export. Today, the potential of these enterprises is used at the minimum level. Most of the equipment and machines for oil industry is purchased abroad, at a cost of billions of US dollars. -------08D

In 2024, Europe will receive approximately 12.5 billion cubic meters of gas from Azerbaijan, with the list of buyers expanding to 12 countries. Speaking at an energy forum in Istanbul on Friday, SOCAR President Rovshan Najaf announced that cooperation with a 12th, new gas buyer would begin in December.
