SOCAR refuted reports about beginning of exploration works on the north of iraq
State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) has refuted the reports of local media about beginning of exploration works on the north of Iraq, Kirkuk and Mosul.
SOCAR reported that today some media wrote quoting reliable sources of the web site avropa.info that SOCAR has already started exploration works on the north of Iraq. “All reports have no grounds: the company does not carry out any operations on the territory of Iraq,” reported press office of SOCAR.
The company reported that information is false.
* SOCAR is not involved in the projects for production of hydrocarbons outside of Azerbaijan. Only in 2012 it received 5% in the exploration projects on the Israel shelf and in April 2013 it increased its share up to 10%.—0—
