Stagnation in Industry Continues
In the four months since the beginning of this year in Azerbaijan's industrial production reached 11,275 million manat, which in comparable prices by 0.7% less than in the same period of 2012. Turan was told in the State Statistics Committee.
The share of non-oil sector in the industrial production index, with the index of 2,250 million manat, was 20%. In the non-oil industry saw growth of 2.8%, while the decline in the oil sector at 1.5%.
State-owned enterprises produced products worth $ 2.3 billion manat, which is 7.8% higher than for the same period in 2012. In this case, the non-state sector, the volume of industrial production (about 9 bn) fell by 2.6%. This mite has made the mining industry, where production fell by 2.3%. The share of the mining industry accounts for 8,362 million or 74.1% of the industrial production.
The processing industry produced goods worth a total of 2,177 million manat, which is 10.2% more than in January-April 2012. The bulk of manufacturing production was developed in the food area (854.4 million manat, +4.7%), petroleum products (689.5 million manat, +13.4%), building materials (105.1 mln AZN, +25.5%) and metallurgy (AZN 103.1 million, +24.4%).
Several areas (finished metal products, rubber and plastic products, machinery and equipment, electrical equipment, wood, etc.) saw decline in the production. - 08D-

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
