State Budget Misses 16.5% of Projected Funds
Azerbaijani Ministry of Finance has published a report on the operational performance of the state budget in January-September (http://maliyye.gov.az/node/1979).
As of the 3rd quarter, the revenue part of the budget amounted to AZN 10 billion 103.1 million, and the expenditures – AZN 10 billion 622.2 million with a deficit of 519.1 million manat. The forecast revenue was executed by 83.5%, and the expenditure – by 87.5%.
The largest share of income was from the Ministry of Taxes – AZN 4 billion 926.3 million, transfers from State Oil Fund were AZN 3.26 billion, transfers from the State Customs Committee were AZN 1 billion 653.8 million (+ 529 600 000, or +25.6% to October 1 last year). Proceeds from the budgetary organizations were at the level of AZN 192.9 million, and other charges - AZN 70.1 million.
On social expenses: payroll, pensions and benefits, medicines and food 4 billion 514 million manat was spent, which was 42.5% of the volume (+ 406.6 million or +9.9% to October 1 last year). The supply of gas, electricity, water, transportation and some other items was spent AZN 1 billion 151.7 million. Investment projects were spent AZN 212.8 million.
On the consolidated budget the situation is better – the revenues amounted to AZN 14 billion 951 million, and the expenses were AZN 12 billion 623.4 million, with surplus of AZN 2 billion 327.6 million. --17D-
