According to the State Statistics Committee, the income of local telecoms and mail from January to 1 September amounted to 1 billion 77 million manats (+10.8% to 1 September of the previous year).
Consumers of almost three-quarters (72.6%) of the services were individuals, which in value terms were provided services worth 781.9 million manats (+ 8.9%).
More than half (54%) were services of three mobile operators operating in Azerbaijan (Azercell Telecom, Bakcell and Azerfon), which in absolute numbers is 581 700 000 AZN (minus 2.3%). --17D-
