Sumgayit knitting factory put up for investment competition

A State Agency for Anti-Monopoly and Consumer Market Control under the President has been established, based on the State Service for Anti-Monopoly and Consumer Market Control under the Ministry of Economy of Azerbaijan. President Ilham Aliyev signed a decree regarding this on August 27.

Sadiq Aliyev, Chairman of the Board of the State Employment Agency (DMA) under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection, visited the Chovdar Integrated Regional Processing Area (CHIRES) in Dashkasan district, operated by "AzerGold" Closed Joint-Stock Company (CJSC).

"Azergold" Closed Joint-Stock Company (CJSC) has commenced the second phase of geological research at the Tutkhun gold manifestation located in the Kalbajar district, part of the Eastern Zangazur economic region.

On Wednesday, Baku hosted a high-profile conference titled “The Role of Water Management Systems in Climate-Resistant Agriculture: COP29.” The event was organized as part of Azerbaijan’s "Year of Solidarity for the Green World" initiative and in preparation for the 29th Session of the Conference of Parties (COP29) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, which will be held in Baku later this year.
