Resident of Absheron detained with 50 kg of drugs
Baku/31.05.23/Turan: Officers of the main drug control department of the Interior Ministry seized a large batch of drugs smuggled from Iran, the Ministry said in a statement on May 31.
During the operation, Namig Mammadov, a resident of the Absheron region, was detained with 28 kg of heroin and 22 kg of methamphetamine in his car.
According to Mammadov, he purchased drugs from an Iranian named Hadi, and then imported them into the country for sale.
A criminal case has been initiated, Mammadov detained, operational search activities are ongoing.
The report says nothing about how Mammadov transported drugs to Azerbaijan. -0-
