Targeted Assistance Increased by 1 Manat

On the first of April this year, the targeted social assistance from the state received 123.3 thousand families, consisting of 542.8 thousand people.

Compared with the beginning of the year, the number of families, who are assigned to help, dropped by about 10 thousand, while the size of the aid rose by 1 manat.

According to the committee, each in need of social assistance receives an average of 26.8 manat. This is 1 AZN above the average for 2012.

The criterion for the needs of targeted social assistance is in this year's per capita income in the amount of 93 manats a month. Help is appointed for one year.

Targeted assistance is applied in Azerbaijan since 2006 (when its recipients were 48.7 thousand families). In 2008, this figure reached 163.4 thousand, in 2009 - 144.8 thousand in 2012 due to the number of projects employment income families declined to 133 thousand - 08D -
