The government has updated the criteria for determining disability
The Cabinet reviewed the criteria for determining the three degrees of disability and disabilities of children under 18 years old. Old regulations on disability operated since 1997.
According to the published today, the 6th of January the government resolution dated 30 December 2015, a disability or disabilities of children under the age of 18 is determined by a decision taken on the basis of examination of medical and social expertise.
The decision of acceptance pursuant to Presidential Decree "On improving the system of evaluation of disability and disabilities' of 14 September last year. This decision is based comprehensive assessment of clinical, psychological, social and domestic, professional factors, as well as the rehabilitation of the human potential.
The first group of disability is defined in perpetuity. In special cases, the disability second and third groups can also be defined for an indefinite period. In other cases, the disability second and the third group is appointed for five years. A person with a disability group 2 for 10 uninterrupted years, receives a permanent group. For the disabled third group defined this term to 15 years. 08D
