Topaz Energy and Marine bought two new vessels for operations in Caspian sea
Topaz Energy and Marine, which has a contract with BP, has bought two new vessels for maintain offshore platforms in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea, reads information of the company posted on the official web site. The information says that total cost of the towboat and supply vessel – Caspian Challenger and Caspian Endeavour - is $100 million.
The vessels will be used within the framework of a long-term contract between Topaz Energy and Marine and BP, operator of the Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli (ACG) oil and gas fields and Shah-Deniz gas condensate field development in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea.
At present 25 vessels of Topaz Energy and Marine operate in Azerbaijan’s waters. After acquisition of another supply vessel Caspian Voyager in quarter 2, 2014 total number of the vessels will reach 26.—0—
