Transit freight traffic grew by 10.7%
Over 11 months, the volume of freight transportation through Azerbaijan totaled 15,554,600 tons. This is 10.7% more than in the same period in 2012, told Turan, the State Customs Committee.
According to the SSC, for 10 months in 2012 for transit freight corridor TransEvropa-Caucasus-Asia (TRACECA) amounted to 13,081,700 tons. This is 3.3% less than in the comparable period of 2011.
Overall, in 11 months of this year, the customs border of the Azerbaijan Republic has crossed over 52 million tons of cargo, which is 5% less than in the same period of 2011. Interestingly, the volume of imported goods (8.5 million tonnes) for the reported period of this year increased 6%. - 08D-

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
