National Security Ministry (NSM) arrested traffickers
More than 20 kg of drugs were confiscated as a result of the operations of the NSM which arrested persons engaged in drug trafficking, according to the public relations center of the Ministry.
The first group of smugglers are Baba Shakhverdiev, Ceyhun Aliyev, Nurali Shikhaliev, Ilham Hasanov, Elshan Bayramov, and Gunel Heydarov. They are accused of importing drugs from Russia. The group acquired 125 grams of cocaine and 73 grams metodon in Moscow and brought it to Azerbaijan by hiding it in a "DVD player".
As a result of another operation, Devil Maharramov was arrested on charges of bringing about 20 kg of hashish from Iran.
The Chief Investigation Department of the NSM filed lawsuits under Articles 206.3.2 (drug smuggling on preliminary arrangement by a group of persons), 234.4.1 and 234.4.3 (purchase, storage, transportation and sale of large quantities of drugs on preliminary arrangement by a group of persons.)
All of these individuals were arrested and brought to justice as defendants, said the Center for Public Relations of the Ministry. -04D-

In 2017, the Sumgayit City Court ruled to evict the Aliyev family—refugees from Gubadli (Akper, Sarvinaz, Ramil, and two other family members)—from an illegally occupied apartment in the 12th microdistrict, Building 7A, Apartment 35.
