Why did not Azerbaijani president notice growth of oil production?
The session of the Cabinet of Ministers devoted to the socio-economic development in 2013 and the forthcoming tasks in 2014 took place yesterday under chairmanship of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
The officials of the energy sector did not make the annual reports at the session. President spoke only about the Shah-Deniz-2 project.
On December 28, 2013 Azerbaijani President Rovnag Abdullayev made a speech at the session devoted to the annual results and said that in 2013 the country extracted 43.5 million tons of oil. Considering that, last year Azerbaijan had a growth of production by 600,000 tons against 2012. The most important thing is that for the first time since 2010 Azerbaijan managed not only to stop oil production decline, but also to increase production. But this fact has not been mentioned by President at the session.
Although early December the officials announced the growth of oil production in Azerbaijan by 0.2% from January to November 2013, not waiting for the release of the official data by the State Statistical Committee.—0--
