President Ilham Aliyev signed on April 30, three orders, according to which increased presidential pension participants of the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 and awarded various medals to disabled, war veterans and persons equated to them. They will be provided with cars and paid one-time financial assistance.
9th May is celebrated as the 69th anniversary of the victory over fascism. According to the presidential decree from May 1, the monthly pension amount of AR President for war veterans , persons working in enterprises, institutions and organizations of Leningrad during the siege of the city and awarded a medal "For the Defense of Leningrad " badge " resident of besieged Leningrad " (for except for war invalids ) is 100 manat. Presidential pension increased by 45 manat.
WWII veterans will be given one-time financial assistance in the amount of 700 manats. It is 200 manat more than in 2013. Widows of the fighters who lost their lives in war or later, persons awarded orders and medals for their selfless work in the rear at the time , employees of special units performing missions in the interests of the army and navy in the rear of the fighting fronts or in the operational areas of the fleets fought in World War II , persons awarded the appropriate medal and badge for the defense of Leningrad during the Great Patriotic War , as well as participants in the siege of Leningrad will be paid 300 manats. In order to fulfill this order, from the Reserve Fund of the President as provided in the state budget for 2014 7.6 million manat has been allocated.
This year, all the disabled war veterans and persons equated to them that stood in a queue to receive personal transport until 2014 will get cars. To do this, 3.5 million manat has been allotted. Last year, a similar order was signed on ensuring cars to the disabled of the Karabakh war.
As of January 1, 2014, in Azerbaijan remained 10,030 World War II veterans, including 1900 that fought on the frontlines. Of World War II veterans who fought in the country 409 are disabled group I, 475 - disabled group II, and the rest - disabled group III.
Rear workers in Azerbaijan are 8,130 people respectively. In Baku live 505 disabled of the war of 1941-1945. Azerbaijan is home to 15,500 widows of war veterans. -08D-
