Finance Ministry: oil and gas sector failed to fulfill forecast obligations to the state budget of Azerbaijan

"As far as I know, COP29 was the first global climate change event , but  the President of the European Commission did not attend it, although the Commission’s President had confirmed participation a couple of months before the event," said President Ilham Aliyev in an interview with Azerbaijani TV channels on January 7.

"This year, we hope to receive the first gas from the ‘deep’ gas project at “Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli” (ACG),”  President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev said on January 7 in an interview with local TV channels. According to him, this will be a significant contribution to Azerbaijan’s overall gas production.

The total volume of Azerbaijani gas transported via the TANAP pipeline to and then to Europe (via the TAP pipeline) by January 1, 2025, amounted to 73.54 bcm,  Elchin Ibadov, CEO of SOCAR Turkiye Enerji, reported at a press conference in Istanbul. "The total commercial gas volume delivered to Türkiye was 30.8 bcm, and to Europe – 42.74 bcm," Ibadov explained.

In 2024, 550 million kWh of "green energy" was produced in Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur,  the Azerbaijan Energy Company (Azərenerji) reported.
