Kazakhstan plans to commission a new gas processing plant in 2026

Azerbaijan is interested in close cooperation with Central Asian countries in the field of renewable energy, President Ilham Aliyev  stated last Friday at the meeting of the heads of state of Central Asia and Azerbaijan in Astana. The Memorandum of Cooperation on the unification of the energy systems of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, signed in May this year, is the first step in our cooperation in the field of green energy," the head of state stressed.

Greece reduced the cost of importing natural gas from Azerbaijan in May 2024, the statistical office of the European Union – Eurostat. According to the data, in May 2024, Greece spent 52.6 million euros on gas imports from Azerbaijan, compared with 68.8 million euros in May 2023, which shows a decrease of 23.5 percent.

Over 830 thousand tons of Kazakh oil were transported through the port of Aktau in the direction of the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline (BTC) from January to July 2024, “KazTransOil” JSC (the national operator of the main oil pipeline of Kazakhstan) announced.
