Government updates rules for implementing amendments to the budget system law

Azerbaijan recorded a $3.5 billion surplus in its current account balance in 2025, equivalent to 4.6% of gross domestic product, the country’s central bank said on Tuesday, though the figure declined from the previous year amid changing external flows.

On March 17, Azerbaijan’s Cabinet of Ministers approved amendments to several government decisions aimed at implementing legislative changes affecting the Land Code, Civil Procedure Code, Civil Code and laws regulating notarial activity and enforcement proceedings.

Azerbaijan’s Cabinet of Ministers has approved amendments to regulations governing the cleaning of urban areas and the management of municipal waste, updating a framework that has been in place since 2005, according to a government decision published on the official legal information portal.

Azerbaijan’s parliament approved amendments to the law “On Subsoil” on March 17, introducing new legal mechanisms aimed at improving resource management, expanding economic circulation of construction materials and strengthening environmental safeguards.
